The world of online bingo is ever expanding, with new bingo sites emerging every week bringing the total count to somewhere over 300!
Unfortunately, from a player’s point of view, this rapid rise in the number of sites hasn’t been met with an increase in the amount of exciting new bingo propositions. It’s pretty fair to say that out of those 300 or so sites, about 290 are pretty much exactly the same thing with a different logo stuck on.
After all bingo is bingo, right? True, there is only so much you can do with the game to make it exciting and if you do anything drastically different, you’ve probably created something that isn’t bingo.
Below are a couple of examples of the sorts of promotions that some bingo sites have ran in order to make life a little more exciting.
Our Top 3 Bingo Promotions:
- Loo Roll Rocket!
The first promotion belongs to one of our favourite bingo sites, the promotion is called ‘Loo Roll Rocket’, what’s that got to do with bingo sites, you may ask?
The Loo Roll Rocket contest was run via Rocket Bingo’s Facebook page, players and FB fans were asked to cobble together a rocket out of loo rolls, then once complete they were requested to upload the photo to FB. Part of the fun was that the creator (or a pet) had to appear in the photo with the rocket. This made the images very shareable on FB.
The competition was judged independently and the winner was awarded an Ipod, there were several runners up prizes too, including a copy of Elton John’s Rocket Man album – genius.
As you can see from the images below, people really got into the promotion:
- The Tidy Cupboard
This is a promotion that was launched by Tidy Bingo. The Tidy Cupboard is a special stand-alone bingo room where players meet for a series of unusual chat games and fun.
The cupboard is a great promotion because it makes Tidy unique from the other sites on the network and gives players a good chance to get acquainted with the people who run the site, given that Nicki, the site manager hosts one of the sessions.
- Pimp My Pumpkin
Similar in style to our number 1 promotion and also from Rocket Bingo is our 3rd favourite promotion, Pimp my Pumpkin.
For this promo the bingo site asked players to carve a pumpkin for Halloween, the twist was that it had to be in the style of Rocket Bingo. For novices, templates were provided, but for those with the creativity and confidence their task was to create a unique design!
Again this competition was posted on FB and that’s where the entries were published. As you can see below, again people really got stuck in:
